The Heart Decoded: Reading What Your Heart Says
I’ve been adding these to the end of the Monthly forecasts for paid subscribers, and I love them so much I’m deciding to share this month with you for free! It’s your Spring Equinox gift from me to you. I also wanted to highlight that there’s quite a bit of quality content hidden behind paywalls.
Anyway, I loved the idea of having a cutesy little way to decode what you’re feeling and how to act on it, in a way that may make you feel more fulfilled. Or at least like you’re moving.
Here it is…
Heart decoded: March edition.
If:
The Heart: You feel energized and social again.
Then:
The Hands: Host a picnic, even if it’s just you and one friend. Bring fruit, bread, and something sparkling.
If:
The Heart: You feel quietly optimistic about the future, even if nothing dramatic has changed yet.
Then:
The Hands: Write a short letter to yourself dated six months from now. Describe what you hope life feels like when autumn arrives. Seal it somewhere safe. When you read it later, you may be surprised how much of it quietly came true.
If:
The Heart: You feel nostalgic for old dreams.
Then:
The Hands: Revisit a project you abandoned last year. Give it 30 minutes of attention.
If:
The Heart: You want adventure.
Then:
The Hands: Take a spontaneous day trip somewhere within two hours of home.
If:
The Heart: You feel bursts of motivation… followed by sudden dips in energy.
Then:
The Hands: Work in sprints, not schedules. Use inspired action! When the energy comes, move with it. When it leaves, rest without guilt.
If:
The Heart: You feel like you’re finally ready to be seen again after a season of retreat.
Then:
The Hands: Share something you created or something you care about. Post the poem, show the sketch, tell the idea. Spring reminds us that growth is meant to eventually face the sunlight.
If:
The Heart: You feel drawn to beauty lately. You notice colors more, music sounds richer, and you find yourself pausing in front of flowers, art, or small moments of softness.
Then:
The Hands: Visit a place dedicated to beauty: a museum, a garden, a boutique with objects you love. Don’t buy anything unless it truly moves you. Let your eyes wander and take things in to allow beauty to recalibrate your senses.
If:
The Heart: You feel emotionally sensitive. Little things seem to touch you more deeply than usual like songs, memories, conversations.
Then:
The Hands: Create a small evening ritual. Light a candle, put on a gentle playlist, and write down three things that softened your heart that day. Honor your sensitivity.
If:
The Heart: You feel quietly proud of yourself lately.
Then:
The Hands: Celebrate something small. Buy yourself flowers, cook a favorite meal, or take an afternoon off to do something purely joyful. Acknowledging your progress strengthens it.
If:
The Heart: You feel drawn toward connection with nature.
Then:
The Hands: Plant something. It can be herbs on a windowsill, a single flower in a pot, or even starting seeds in a jar. Tending something living reminds the heart that growth happens through care and patience.
If:
The Heart: You feel creatively blocked, like something wants to come through but hasn’t found its way yet.
Then:
The Hands: Change mediums. If you usually write, try drawing. If you paint, try collage. If you cook, try photography. Sometimes creativity simply needs a new doorway.
If:
The Heart: You’re thinking about someone you haven’t spoken to in a long time.
Then:
The Hands: Send a short message. It doesn’t have to be profound, just a simple “I thought of you today.” Spring is a season of reconnection.
If:
The Heart: You feel like life is gently nudging you toward something new, but you can’t quite see the shape of it yet.
Then:
The Hands: Follow curiosity instead of clarity. Visit the new café. Click on the article that catches your eye. Say yes to the invitation. Curiosity is often the first breadcrumb on a path you haven’t discovered yet.
If:
The Heart: You feel an urge to simplify and let go of things.
Then:
The Hands: Choose one drawer, one shelf, or one corner of your space and clear it completely. As you do, thank the items that once served you. Physical space often mirrors emotional space.
So cute right?! I personally loved February’s version best, so pop back there and read those!
